The Master Bathroom/Shower demo

Well to help with the upkeep of the renovations and to keep me from feeling that i just have to unpack boxes.. i thought i would fix the shower stall - it goes to say that i HATE shower stalls/doors, I do not like to clean them at all. i really like shower tubs.. i think that has to with the fact that i grew up with a tub and no shower. actually my favorite type of Tub is a claw foot tub.. i love anything old and definatly English - as think claw foot tubs are :)
So long story short... i decided to take down the shower stall doors to just add a shower rod and curtain resulted in this.....

Then i thought - i think we are gonna need to take at least half of the tiles down.. i asked scott when he got home waht he thought and he said... demo.. demo.. take it al ldown .. and so we did.. here are the before and after pics :)

Also - while demoing.. it seemed dusty.. and sicen we did nothave any masks in the house .. i improvised.. (yes that is a bra that i am wearing.. i think it makes a perfect mask :)

will post more updates and pictures as we do more work on it :) it maybe a while though :)

Welcome to 22 ORB

First, "ORB" is short for the name of my street.
Second I tend to curse a bit - if you are offended take a hike.

The purpose of this BLOG is to catalog all of my fix-it projects at 22ORB. I just bought 22ORB this week and it is a 32 year old two story colonial. It is a beautiful house - but it needs TLC in some areas. Also, the contractors that did the work for the previous owners did everything half-assed - it was their M.O. So I have to rework their shitty jobs.

My previous house was brand new when I got it. None of the work was half-assed because I did it all. Basement, Jacuzzi, Deck, fans, lighting, tile, electircal... I think I can do it all. We shall see.

Episode 1 is "The leaky toilet". I will have a post and pictures soon (I need an Internet connection at 22ORB).
